It all started 8 years ago in 2011. Dejas son had a really bad diaper rash. Her solution? Cloth diapers and better yet, she started sewing them on her own. From a bad diaper rash to a full on business. Watch the video above to hear how it all went down and is continuing to go down. Deja is taking over the industry! 

How does it feel when you are in the midst of creating and living your passion?

I feel energized, fulfilled, and like anything is possible.

Have you ever felt like quitting? If so, explain to us how that is and how you continue moving forward.

Yes. It’s terrifying. There’s this deep-set panic that sets in and I start to spiral and imagine everything that could go wrong. It paralyzes me and stops me from making moves ultimately setting me back. I honestly keep the big picture in the far back reaches out my mind and work a little every day towards my goals. One thing at a time, one day at a time, and before I know it I’ve reached my goal.

What motivates you to keep going?

Jaylen, he is the best thing that has happened in my life. He inspires me to get up, work hard, become a better version of myself, and work towards change in the world around me.

How do you stay inspired?

I surround myself with people who get it. Who work hard and create daily just like I do. It’s exhausting work at times being a creative but the women in my circle and in the creative world inspire me daily.

What advice would you give to someone in your shoes?

Deep breaths. One thing at a time.
