“What do you want to be when you get older?” was always the question posed since I was in middle school. I found myself spewing out about five different things from business owner, event planner, teacher, to counselor. This normally followed laughter as I was told I had to choose one thing. I was looked at as this young, naive, and silly girl.

Well, the thing about me is I go after what I want regardless of the whispers and side-eyes. I was built to be resilient. So, I started chasing my passions. One at a time, trying them out, getting my feet wet, and ya know… exploring life. I’ve always had this deep understanding that life is a journey so I allowed myself to taste test. To taste different things. To learn. To grow.

Fast forward to 2017.

My daughter was one month old and I didn’t know how to live much less breathe without her in my sight, therefore, I was on a mission to work from home. Along with wanting to work from home I also wanted to have a virtual scrapbook of her and there birth Kayla Dene’ Blogs.

And then my mind was blown.

Starting my blog granted me access to creating. I was welcomed into this world of being able to create and create in many facets. I started writing, taking pictures, making videos, editing videos, forming graphics, hosting events, selling products, being a public relations manager for myself, marketing my blog, running an e-mail list, and it goes on.

This is why I dreamed of starting a business. This is why. To be able to have my hand in many areas and the best part of having a blog is that it has become my business and truly helped form me as a creative.

Once I started holding power as an artist I started realizing that being multi-passionate is not by any means insane. I was told it was growing up so imagine my shock when I kept meeting person after person who ran several businesses or had multiple hobbies. I m a g i n e!

Stepping into myself as a human. As a woman. As a bi-racial. As a mom. As a business owner. As an artist. As a creative. has changed my life for the better.

My goal?

To live my life to the fullest through loving myself and living my passion while encouraging you and teaching you to do the same. I teach through my experiences by turning my messes into my messages.

I blog.

I YouTube.

I recite poetry.

I make bohemian decor.

I host events.

I travel.

I do speaking engagements.

I try different things.

I explore and I expand.

I do what sets my soul on fire and I hope it inspires you to, too.
